Connection to Rhineland-Palatinate
Josephine Adus has made Mainz her center of life for almost two decades. After her art studies there, she moved into her sponsored studio in the Waggonfabrik. Last year she spent a six-month residency at Künstlerschloss Balmoral in Bad Ems. In 2024 she received the Preis der August Müller-Stiftung in Höhr-Grenzhausen and in 2023 the Preis für Malerei der Wolfgang-Banke-Stiftung at JGU Mainz.
Ronia Adl-Tabatabai was born and studied in Rhineland-Palatinate. Her center of life is Mainz and will remain so for several years, also because of her daughter. Since 2022 she has been working in one of the city’s sponsored studios at Atelierhaus Waggonfabrik. Her artistic training and practice are thus closely linked to Rhineland-Palatinate. She is very committed to shaping and strengthening the local art scene.
