FRANCIS KARAT – is an interdisciplinary artists’ collective, founded at the end of 2023 in Karlsruhe. Education: Diplomas in media art and product design from the Hochschule für Gestaltung Karlsruhe. Selected solo exhibitions: 2023: “Grüße ausm SchwarzwAId”, Installation: Badisches Landesmuseum, Karlsruhe – 2024: “Die Maschine, die mich schreibt”, Performance: Ursula Blickle Stiftung, Kraichtal – 2025: “Alte Schinken und Future Food. Eine Retrospektive des Zukünftigen.”, Film/Installation: Deutsches Fleischermuseum, Böblingen. Connection to Rhineland-Palatinate

Shaped by the cultural and artisanal traditions of the “Blaues Ländchen” and experiences in Niederwallmenach (Rhein-Lahn District), FRANCIS KARAT develops an artistic practice that explores the exchange between tradition and technology.
