Neda Aydin

Neda Aydin – studied sculpture with Albrecht Schäfer and Jeewi Lee at Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee and is currently Meisterschülerin with Alicja Kwade at HfBK Dresden. In 2025 she showed her works in the solo exhibition “In Plain Sight”, Galerie Pied-à-Terre, Berlin, as well as in the group exhibitions “Abyss of Absence”, AOA;87 Gallery, Berlin, “Kollisionen”, Schloss Agathenburg, “Imprints of Time”, Galerie Pankow, Berlin, and in 2023 “Young, Fresh & Different” at Zilberman Gallery, Istanbul. She received several awards and grants, including the Mart-Stam-Preis, the Marehalm Art Award for emerging artists, the Deutschlandstipendium, the Residenzstipendium Junge Kunst (Staff Stiftung and Alten Hansestadt Lemgo), and 1st prize in the Kunst am Bau competition for the Bundesfinanzministerium, Postblock Nord, Berlin.

Connection to Rhineland-Palatinate

“Growing up in Mörsch, I remember the raw structures of farmhouses, peeling plaster, color traces on the walls, and large tractors with worn surfaces. This rough materiality and texture is also reflected in my artistic work.”
