Connection to Rhineland-Palatinate
“In 1973, my grandparents opened an electronics store in Kirn. There I dismantled devices and photographed screen images of running televisions. During my art studies at HFBK Hamburg, I rediscovered the alienation of media content. I often use cinematic visual worlds, media phenomena, and pop culture as a starting point, which I transform through conceptual strategies, overlays, and chance.”
